About Me

I'm Bill Higgins, based outside of Austin, Texas. My wife, son and I live on a multi-generational property with my 2 adult daughters and their families - we call it 'The Compound.' Each family has their own home, where I'm blessed to have family that lives independently, but enjoys life together.   I spend time on property development, both here and with investment properties. I maintain a garden and small vineyard, travel frequently, and tackle home improvement projects that keep me learning new skills. My career is focused on technology and how it can actually improve daily life without complicating it. This site documents what I'm working on and what I'm learning along the way.   Every project teaches something. Every season brings different challenges and opportunities. My hope is to capture what I learn for future generations to benefit from.
